Fantasy Sports and Politics

I live in Tombstone, AZ and teach English, Drama, Film, and Economics at Tombstone HS.

I was in show biz (as an actor, director, producer, casting director, and theatrical agent) for 20 years after I graduated high school. I left show biz to go back to college, and I received a double BA in English and Philosophy (with High Honors) from the University of California, Riverside. I finished most of a double MA in Philosophy and Theatre at the University of New Mexico, Albuquerque. I was planning on teaching at a community college, but I was recruited by Reader's Digest to be their West Coast Regional Manager for the ECD division of their company, Books Are Fun. It was a great gig until I had a difference of opinion with the president of the company. I left and decided to get certified to teach high school. I Just finished a double MA in Film and English at National University.

I live on ten acres of beautiful country in Tombstone with my two incredible dogs, RupertP and Otto.

Some of my favoirte poets are: e.e. cummings, Yeats, Langston Hughes, Robert Frost, Philip Levine, Emily Dickinson, T.S. Eliot, Charles Bukowski, and Bruce Springsteen.

Some of my favorite directors are: Martin Scorsese, David Lynch, The Coen Brothers, Woody Allen, Francis Ford Coppola, Spike Lee, Terry Gilliam, Sidney Lumet, Quentin Tarantino, David Fincher, Christopher Nolan, Bob Fosse, Stephen Frears, Jim Jarmusch, Neil Jordan, David Cronenberg, Alan Rudolph, and Orson Welles Some of my favorite writers are: Raymond Chandler, Don DeLillo, John Irving, William Kennedy, Chuck Palahniuk, Larry McMurtry, Paul Auster, John Barth, Steve Erickson, Kazuo Ishiguro, and F. Scott Fitzgerald.
